About

Washtenaw Justice Project (WJP) serves the Washtenaw County community by supporting programs that address harm outside of the criminal legal system and allow people who have been justice-involved to obtain a fresh start.

Founded in 2022, the mission of Washtenaw Justice Project is to undertake programs and activities that will enhance equity, fairness, harm reduction, and transparency in the juvenile and adult criminal justice system. Through our direct activities and through our support for, and collaboration with, other persons and entities, WJP aims to bolster the ability of the Washtenaw County community to address harm inside and outside of the criminal legal system
